Rann of Kutch is one of the most beautiful and world’s largest salt desert. It is a perfect combination of nature’s beauty, culture and tradition, luxury of colours and celebration, all together reflect the magnificence of Kutch.

The Great Rann of Kutch is situated in the district of Kutch, between the Gulf of Kutch and the mouth of the Indus River in southern Pakistan. Self-drive trips are the best, because they make you experience the local culture and interact with local people on your way.

The best time to visit Kutch is between October to February. In this period the weather is pleasant and bearable. The camel ride is something you can enjoy here. Walk on the beach in Mandvi; watch the birds and windmills rotating in circles above the cool water.

DAY-01 – REACH AHEMBDABAD

Reach Ahmedabad by Lunch time or late Evening. Meet your fellow travellers and get ready for the most exciting drive. Stickering and Orientation in the evening followed by dinner.

DAY-02-AHEMBDABAD- DHOLOVIRA

Start your day early and drive towards “Dholovira” a gateway to White Desert.

Dholavira is an ancient city located on the island of Khadir in the state of Gujarat, India. It was occupied between around 3000-1500 BCE and was a part of the Harappan Civilization.

Today’s Drive through the Lake of Kutch and offers beautiful vistas, blue water, white crystal beds, blue skies, and more. You can find plenty of bird sightings which include pink flamingos.

DAY-03- EXPLORE DHOLOVIRA  AND ROAD TO HEAVEN

This road is about 30 kilometres long and connects Khavda to Dholavira.

Experience a heavenly drive on the Dholavira Highway, famously known as “The Road to the Heaven”. Behold the captivating Rann of Kutch Lake, shimmering on both sides, offering picturesque views of crystal-clear waters, gleaming salt beds, and boundless blue skies.

Visit World Heritage site and wood Fossil Park and drive to the newest “Road to Heaven”

Spend Your day at white desert and enjoy off-roading and picnic lunch.

DAY-04- DHOLOVIRA – KALO DUNGAR -DHORDO

Today’s drive is magical towards Road to Heaven & Kalo Dungar. Kalo Dungar is also known as Black Hills and it is the highest point in Kutch, at 462 m. From here, the entire northern horizon vanishes into the Great Rann, the desert and sky often becoming indistinguishable.

It is one of the few non-coastal locations where you feel like you are at the edge of the earth, on the brink of incomprehensible vastness that fades off towards infinity.

Looking out from the Black Hills, you can understand the tremendous effort that those who undertake the crossing of the Great Rann have to make.

Visit little further to India Bridge. (Depends on the permit)

DAY-05- BHUJ – BHUJ

Relaxed Morning and short drive to Bhuj. After lunch, Visit offbeat trails, and soak in the Non-commercial activities. We have added this day as a surprise Day for The Group.

DAY-06- BHUJ – MANDAVI

Mandvi is a short drive of one hour from Bhuj. It has a very old and famous dockyard and is a major port because of its proximity to Karachi.

Mandvi is located on the banks of the Rukmavati River, barely one km away from the Arabian Sea at the Gulf of Kutch. The town has a very pleasant climate throughout the year.

After a short journey, we will reach Mandvi. Check in to the Resort and relax.

DAY -07- MANDAVI – AHEMBDABAD

After Breakfast, start your journey back to Ahmedabad. On the way visit Sun temple Garden and Modhera Sun Temple, or the ever-popular Shree Modheshwari Mata Temple Modhera. Reach Ahmedabad by the evening and Exchange Goodbye Notes with fellow travellers.

DAY-08- BACK HOME
You can extent your stay and can visit statue of Unity and Gaikwad Estate at Vadodara.
