in the WORL. “Go Ladakh” ” is an organised driving excursion starting from Manali on 07th of September 2024 and moving through Jispa, Sarchu, Pang, Leh, Nubra, Pangong
Tso, Hanle, Umling-La, Kargil, Drass, Sonmarg before culminating in Srinagar on the 18th September, 2024.
The route has been carefully planned to provide an unforgettable motoring experience, with relaxed driving and adequate breaks. The drive allows gradual acclimatization while crossing some of the world’s highest motorable mountain passes; long stretches of the cold desert and deep gorges of the Beas, Chandra & Indus Rivers.
“Go Ladakh” is a fun expedition where participants will drive together in a group following convoy rules. All vehicles will start together every morning and end the day at the same night halt. Adequate halts will be planned in between to take pictures, eat food, and enjoy the holiday!

Day 01: Manali (07th September)
Report at Manali by the early evening.
Reach Manali, Check-in in the hotel. Our team will do scrutiny of your vehicles. Meanwhile meet your fellow travellers and get ready for the most adventurous trip to Ladakh. Drivers briefing at 8.00 pm followed by dinner!!!

Day 02: Manali – Jispa (08th September)
After Breakfast leave from Manali.
We drive through from Atal tunnel to Jispa, a small village on the banks of Bhaga River (a tributary of Chenab) in Lahaul region. This is the best place to acclimatization yourself to high altitude. On our way to Jispa, we will be refuelling at Tandi which is the last fuel station before Leh. The overnight stay will be at the Hotel, located on the banks of the Bhaga. JISPA is the ideal place for overnight stay to acclimatize your body to get used to the high attitude. Jispa, an oasis of tranquillity is situated at an altitude of 10,890 feet.

Day 03: Jispa- Leh – (09th September)
It’s going to be a long day and we will leave early morning. The road beyond Jispa follows the picturesque Bhaga River across Baralacha La pass and Sarchu. Sarchu is on the Himachal Pradesh Jammu & Kashmir border. Enroute to Sarchu we will pass the Surajtal Lake. We will cross Zanskar range and Climb‐up the Gatta Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends carved into the mountainside and then pass Lachung La and Nakee La passes, Pang & More plains and the Tanglang La pass as well. Reach Leh late in the evening and rest.

Day 04: Leh (10th September)
After breakfast explore the city. Sightseeing is always an individual’s choice; some prefer to go for river rafting while others want to explore monasteries.So be a free bird today and roam around. Places to visit around Leh are Stok Palace, Stakna Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, shanti stupa etc.

Day ‐05- Leh (11th September)
Today we will drive towards Srinagar Highway. Visit Magnetic hills, Pathar sahib Gurudwara, Confluence of Zanskar and Indus at Nimoo. We will also drive up to Nula and return after Lunch. Today’s drive is mesmerizing. Do not hesitate to click as many pictures as u can. Back to the hotel by early evening. Enjoy Leh city as this is our last night before we head
towards Nubra.

Day ‐06- Leh ‐ Nubra Valley – (12th September)
From Leh we drive to Nubra Valley, the road passes through Khardung La Pass, which is one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
Nubra valley, just south of Siachen glacier, separates the Ladakh & Karakoram ranges of Himalayas and is a high-altitude desert with scant vegetation. Historically, this was an important trade centre with Central Asia & East Turkmenistan. In Hundar one can see people with startling blue eyes, auburn hair and rosy cheeks who according to local lore are descendants of a Greek tribe. Nubra is home to several 17th century Gompas including 132-year-old Samstanling Gompa & Chamba Gompa. Diskit monastery located on a hill is the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra.
Next to Hundar are several kilometers of sand dunes and one can enjoy a camel ride on the near extinct two humped Bactrian camels.

Day ‐07- Nubra Valley- Turtuk- Nubra (13th September)
Enjoy the most spectacular drives in Ladakh. Today’s drive is 92 KMs. Turtuk is the Last village on Indian side on India Pakistan border. Enjoy a beautiful drive and we will take you till the zero point. The Turtuk Village Ladakh has an interesting historical story. The Turtuk village was in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. This village was then taken back in 1971 in the border war along the Indo-Pakistan border (during Bangladesh Liberation War).
In the evening, Visit Diskit monastery located on a hill is the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra. Spend some time at Sand dunes and just relax back.

Day‐08‐ Nubra- Pangong Tso (14th September)
It’s time to Say bye to NUBRA Valley. Rather than taking a normal route we take a shorter and adventurous route to Pangong Tso. Today’s route is offbeat and 4×4 friendly. After crossing Agham, Shyok, Durbuk we will head towards Tangste check post. You will see very limited traffic on this route. Reach pangong by late evening. Pangong is a saline water lake on the Line of Actual Control (60% of the lake is under Chinese control) between India & China. Overnight stay by the Lake side.

Day 09: Pangong Tso –Hanle (15th September)
Today’s Route is heavenly… We will start early and go to Hanle from Pangong Tso directly via remote and ever beautiful Changthang region. The drive between Pangong Tso and Hanle is one of the most beautiful drives in whole Ladakh region. Reach Hanle by Lunch time
After Lunch, drive up to the world’s highest motorable pass to Umling-La. Umling La Pass, located at an altitude of 19,300ft, has overtaken Khardung La Pass to become the highest motorable road in the world.
The area around the Umling La Pass is extremely barren and contains no trace of civilization. While traversing the pass, you can feel the winds slapping your face from two directions at the same time. The views leading to the Umling La Pass, and at the pass itself, will have you up on your toes at all times. Of course, deciding to travel through this pass is certainly no child’s play. For, the pass is as risky as it is beautiful. You will experience an incredible adrenalin rush while your heart beats fast all the time. However, if you are able to overcome all these fears, you will have the experience of a lifetime. Hanle also houses an Indian Astronomical Observatory which is the world’s highest observatory in the world at a staggering height of 4500 Mtrs. The Hanle Observatory is
operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru, and is currently the secondhighest optical observatory in the world. Enjoy Stargazing at Night after Early Dinner.

Day 10: Hanle- Chumathang – Nurla (16th September)
Today, we will be driving through Chumathang. We’ll stop at Chumathang for a tea break and also explore hot springs.
After having lunch at Leh, we’ll head towards the Srinagar highway.
Today’s drive is breathtaking, surrounding by beautiful landscapes and mountains.
We’ll spend the night in the beautiful village of Nurla, known for its apricot orchards and scenic beauty by the Indus River, promises a tranquil and picturesque experience.Take a walk through the orchards and appreciate the serenity of the surroundings.

Day 11: Nurla – Sonmarg (17th September)
A very exciting drive awaits you on the Leh to Srinagar highway. You will ascend the 18 hairpin Hangro loops to cross Fotu La, the highest point on the Leh-Srinagar highway, and exit the Indus valley. En route, you will also pass by the Lamayuru monastery.
Upon crossing the Zojila Pass and several hills like Tiger Hill, which gained public consciousness as a result of the Kargil war, we will reach Sonmarg. Reward yourself with a glass of wine and savor the breathtaking views.

Day 12: Sonmarg – Srinagr (18th June)
The drive from Sonmarg to Srinagar offers stunning scenery as you descend from the mountains to the valley. You’ll travel through picturesque landscapes, passing by lush green meadows, gushing rivers, and charming villages along the way. The road meanders through the Himalayan foothills, offering glimpses of snow-capped peaks in the distance.
We are staying at a very beautiful location near to Nishat. Once you arrive, you can explore the city’s rich cultural heritage, visit historic sites like the Mughal gardens, indulge in local cuisine, and take a relaxing shikara ride on Dal Lake. In the evening, under the soft glow of twilight, we gather with our fellow travellers for a heartfelt goodbye and farewell. As the sun dips below the horizon, we reminisce on the adventures shared and the bonds formed. With fond memories to carry us forward, we bid each other farewell, knowing that our paths will cross again someday. Safe travels

3. Maximum 4 Person per car is recommended.

The charges specified are for each crew member in the participating vehicle and includes accommodation on twin sharing basis along with breakfast, packed refreshments and dinner at the specified halts and night halts as specified in the itinerary, inner line permits, local guides, medical assistance with oxygen and medical supplies, service crew.
